A Recipe Idea ...
- 1/2 lb thin Chinese egg noodles or other thin noodle
- 1/2 lb lean tender beef ( flank steak works well )
- 1 tbs. oil
- 6 large garlic cloves
- 1 cup julienned celery
- 1/2 cup bamboo shoots
- 2 cups bok choy or Chinese cabbage
- 1 cup bean sprouts
- 3 tbs. soy sauce
- 2 tbs. oyster sauce
- 1 tbs. sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
BEEF LO MEIN
Combine sauce ingredients, stir well. Set aside. Cook noodles in boiling water 3-4 min. Drain and rinse twice in cold water, set aside. Slice beef into thin strips. Heat a wok or large skillet with 1 tbs. oil. Add garlic, celery and shoots. Stir 30 seconds and add cabbage and bean sprouts. Toss around for one minute and add beef and noodles. Add the sauce and stir to mix well. Serve hot.
